Jane M.  Quinn (Van Sleet)
TROY - Jane M. Van Sleet Quinn, 85, died Christmas morning, December 25, 2013 at St. Mary’s Hospital in Troy. Born in Cohoes on November 13, 1928, she was the daughter of the late Alfred F. and Laura Deno Van Sleet. Jane was a graduate of Cohoes High School. Following her marriage, she resided in Troy for most of her life. She was employed for over 34 years by St. Mary’s Hospital in Troy as the administrative secretary to the administrator of the hospital before retiring in 1990. She was a communicant of Our Lady of Victory Church in Troy and was an avid New York Mets baseball fan.
She was the beloved wife for 63 years of the late Daniel P. Quinn who passed away on January 3, 2013, dear sister of Richard J. (Joyce) Van Sleet of Speigletown and the late Alfred (late Betty) Van Sleet. Jane is also survived by several nieces and nephews and many great nieces and great nephews.
The family would like to give a special thank you to Sierra and the staff at Van Rensselaer Manor for the wonderful care given to Jane.
A Mass of Christian Burial, to which all are invited, will be celebrated on Tuesday, December 31st at 9:30 am in Our Lady of Victory Church in Troy. Interment will follow in St. Patrick’s Cemetery, Watervliet. There will be no public calling hours.
