MENANDS – Katherine M. Zeitler, 85, died Saturday, September 10, 2016 at the Eddy Memorial Geriatric Center in Troy. Born in Albany on June 8, 1931, she was the daughter of the late Nelson Reese and Evelyn Tracy Zeitler. Katherine was raised in Menands and graduated from Menands School, Albany High School and Russell Sage College in Troy.
She was a registered nurse for many years at the Albany Medical Center and later for the Visiting Nurse Association in Troy.
Katherine loved animals, gardening and cherished her time caring for her nephews.
She is the beloved sister of Diana Zietler Eife of Hudson and the late John Zietler; adored aunt of Richard, Jonathan (Laura), Arthur and Edward Sehl. She is also survived by several grandnieces and grandnephews.
A private graveside service will be held at the Albany Rural Cemetery at the convenience of the family.
