Obituary for Marjorie Lydia Larkin (Drescher)

Marjorie “Marge” Larkin, 82 passed away peacefully on October 26, 2016 surrounded by her family. She was born on January 3, 1934 to the late John and Jane (Claydon) Drescher in Watervliet, NY. Marge was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. Marge had a contagious smile and unwavering faith. She will be missed by all who were privileged to know her. Marge retired from Home Instead as a Caregiver in 2009. Marge is survived by her Husband and soul mate Richard Larkin who loved and cared for her every day for the past 46 years and will continue to love her every day of his life. She is also survived by eight children, Patty Stockwell, Ed Stockwell, Marge LaFogg, Linda Hinckley, David Larkin (Tina), Deb Larkin, Missy Larkin and Carla Larkin, her brother John “Buddy” Drescher and Sister Ruth Klein and her buddy Chai. As well as many grandchildren and great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She was pre-deceased by her parents, her sister Olive Vanier, brother Al Drescher, her sister-in-law Dorothy Drescher, her daughter Barbara Kofroth, and son-in-law Ernie LaFogg. A Memorial Service will be celebrated at the Glenmont Community Church, 1 Chapel Lane, Glenmont, NY on November 19 at 2:00. For anyone wishing to do so, memorial contributions may be made in Marge’s honor to the Glenmont Community Church or Community Hospice.
