Obituary for Lucy Krikorian (Nazarian)

WATERVLIET – Lucy Nazarian Krikorian, 94, passed away peacefully at her home surrounded by her loving family after a brief illness. Born on January 22, 1923, Lucy is the daughter of the late Agajan and Verkina (Tabakian) Nazarian.
Beloved wife of the late Krikor George Krikorian; adored mother of the late Charles (Patricia) Krikorian and Linda K. (Phillip Jr.) Gross; proud grandmother of Scott Krikorian, Tara (Geoffrey) Frazier, Kristin (Travis) Winglosky, Gregory (Tammie) Krikorian, Phillip III (Tasha) Gross, Brian (Kristina) Gross, Kaylin (Jerome III) Dawson, Ashley Gross (Todd), Erica Gross (Brandon); cherished great-grandmother of Mackenzie, Illiana, Jalena, Alexa, Jerry, Allesandra, Cameron, Brianna, Alec, Delaney, Addisyn, Brison, Briella, Charlee and Kali.
Lucy is survived by her loving brother and best friend, Gregory (late Marjorie) Nazarian. Lucy is also the sibling of Andrew (Nettie) Nazarian, Marion (Al) Arghanian, John (Sonya) Nazarian and Dorothy (Charles) Giunta. Also survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Lucy graduated from Watervliet High School and later worked at Roxy Cleaners, Watervliet Arsenal and the NYS Dept. of Motor Vehicles.
Lucy’s greatest joy was cooking and entertaining for her adored family. Her kitchen door was always open to everyone. Lucy’s kitchen table was always full of love and laughter.
Lucy enjoyed sitting on her deck watching the kids swim in her pool. Her greatest joys were shopping for everything fabulous for everyone. Lucy’s leisure time was greatly enjoyed with trips to the Racino, bingo, card games and watching Wheel of Fortune with her family. She was our favorite glamo-girl.
The funeral will be Wednesday at 10:30 am from the Parker Bros. Memorial, 2013 Broadway, Watervliet and at 11 am at St. Peter Armenian Apostolic Church, Watervliet. Interment Albany Rural Cemetery, Menands. Relatives and friends may call at the funeral home on Tuesday from 4-7 pm with the wake service at 6:30 pm.
