TROY – Stefane T. Romano, 70, died Saturday March 18, 2017 at St. Peter’s Hospital in Albany. Born in Troy on June 1, 1946, she was the daughter of the late Willard D. and Rosemary Watson Bailey.
She was employed by Greyhound Bus Company, Hot Dog Charlie’s on Congress St. and Lansingburgh in Troy and last by Ted’s Fish Fry in Sycaway for over 25 years before retiring 2 years ago. She was an avid Elvis Presley fan.
She was the wife of the late Thomas Romano; beloved sister of Yvonne Watson and Celina Christian both of Troy, Alleda (Bernard) Streichman of Watervliet, Vivian Bailey of Troy, Trudie Vincent of Watervliet and the late William Derosa, Rosemarie Hartman, Joyce Larkin, Ronald and Lonnie Bailey; dear friend of Charlotte Moore and Carrie Ashdown. She is also survived by several nieces,nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews.
The funeral will be Friday at 10 am at the Parker Bros. Memorial, 2013 Broadway, Watervliet followed by the interment at Elmwood Hill Cemetery, Troy. Relatives and friends may call at the funeral home on Thursday from 4-7 pm.
