Obituary for Minnie B. Glusko

WATERVLIET – Minnie B. Glusko, 92, entered into the loving arms of God on Sunday, April 23, 2017 surrounded by her loving family.
Mrs. Glusko was born in Herkimer, NY on January 15, 1925. She was the daughter of the late Rose and Thomas Parisi and the adopted daughter of the late Mary and Nick Barbuto of Watervliet, NY.
Mrs. Glusko received her Masters of Science Degree at the College of St. Rose in 1965.
She taught Dental Hygiene at Hudson Valley Community College in Troy for over 27 years. She retired Professor Emeritus from HVCC in 1991. Mrs. Glusko was an active member of her Local, State and National Dental Hygiene Association.
She was a parishioner of the former St. Brigid’s Church in Watervliet and a member of the Rosary Society.
Minnie was the heart and soul of our family. The bright light of her soul will never be extinguished. Her love of life was contagious and she will be deeply missed.
She was the wife of the late Peter Glusko who died in 2005; beloved mother of Mary Bess Glusko of Watervliet and Carol (Matt) Capitula of Clifton Park; adored grandmother of Meghan (Michael) Houle of Boston, MA, Bryan (Amanda) Capitula of Rotterdam and Christian and Joshua Capitula both of Clifton Park; great grandmother of Natalie Capitula; dear sister of Phyllis (Joseph) Belleville of Troy, Nicholas Burbuto of Latham, Barbara (James) Quick of Clifton Park and the late Kelly, Victor, Arthur and Louis Parisi and Thomas Barbuto. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
The funeral service will be Thursday at 11 am at the Parker Bros. Memorial, 2013 Broadway, Watervliet with Rev. John F. Tallman officiating. Interment will follow in St. Agnes Cemetery, Menands. Relatives and friends are invited and may call at the funeral home on Thursday prior to the service from 9-11 am.
