LATHAM – Janet L. Knott passed away on April 27, 2017. Born in 1930 in New York, NY, she was a NYC and Albany resident before spending 60 years in Miami, Florida. She returned to Albany in 2012 to come to Hudson Park Nursing Home.
She worked in the restaurant field for over 50 years rising to the position of restaurant manager and retired in 2000.
Janet is survived by her loving son John A. Goetze and daughter in law Marilyn A. Gimber Goetze and also had a son Robert B. Goetze who passed away in 2012. Also she is survived by Doris Maviglia, sister in law, grandchildren and nieces, nephew.
She will be buried at a later date in East Chatham Cemetery, NY. No services will be given at this time. A private service will be at a later date for family.
