LATHAM – Joseph William Harris, 64, died Wednesday, May 3, 2017 at his home in Latham. Born in Troy on October 23, 1952, he was the son of the late Warren and Julia Storelli Harris.
Joe was raised in Watervliet and was a graduate of Watervliet High School. He was a US Navy veteran of the Vietnam War. H e was employed by the Watervliet Arsenal as a machinist.
He was the companion of Sophie Steates of Latham; father of Pamala (Bill) Gilligan, Tara, Nissa and Amanda Harris; brother of Warren Harris, Jack Harris and Margaret Ann Farrell. Also survived by several grandchildren and nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends may call at the Parker Bros. Memorial, 2013 Broadway, Watervliet on Sunday from 3-5 pm. A graveside service will be held Monday at 10 am at the Gerald BH Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery. The funeral procession will leave Parker Bros. at 9 am.
