LOUDONVILLE – Patricia Gail Carrier, 83, died peacefully Friday, July 28, 2017 at St. Peter’s Hospital in Albany. Born and raised in Bergen County, New Jersey, she was the daughter of the late Carl Eric and Edna Anna (Helbig) Osterberg.
Gail was a graduate of Tenafly High School in New Jersey. She was employed as a bank teller and dental assistant in New Jersey before moving to Loudonville in 1960. She was a homemaker for many years raising her children. She returned to work and was employed by the American Cancer Society, was a realtor and broker and worked at the tourism booth at the Albany International Airport. She was a very active member of the Newtonville United Methodist Church.
She was the wife of the late John H. “Jack” Carrier who died in 1998; beloved mother of John E. Carrier (Troy Ternullo) of Albany and Lisa J. Franceski (Ben Greenspan) of Glen Cove, Long Island, NY; adored grandmother of John M. Gogan (Mary Kate Kelly) of Guilderland, Joel T. Franceski (Lauren Piche) of Cohoes and the late Ryan C. Gogan; dear sister of Ruthanne (Frederick) Lehman of Berne and the late Carlton Osterberg; aunt of Jamie, Erica, Gregory and James.
The funeral service will be TUESDAY, August 1st (not Monday as listed in Sunday's paper) at 11:00 am at the Newtonville United Methodist Church, Rt. 9 & Maxwell Road, Newtonville with Pastor Stephen Smith officiating. Interment will follow in Memory Gardens, Colonie. Relatives and friends are invited and may call at the Bowen & Parker Bros. Funeral Home, 97 Old Loudon Road, Latham on MONDAY, July 31st from 4-7 pm.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Newtonville United Methodist Church, PO Box 7, Newtonville, NY 12128.
