ALBANY – Stacy Lynn Moshier-Strope, 43, died Tuesday, September 19, 2017 in Troy. Born in Troy on December 2, 1973, she is the beloved daughter of Sandra M. Sickler Moshier of Troy and the late Andrew L. Moshier, Sr.
Stacy was raised and educated in Troy and was a 1994 graduate of Troy High School. She later graduated from Bryant & Stratton Business College with an Associate’s degree for an Administrative Assistant.
She was employed by Sycaway Creamery, Inc. as an office clerk, Building Care Cleaning Company and for the past 15 years by the New York State Dept. of Environmental Conservation in Albany where she currently was employed as a payroll clerk.
Stacy loved the outdoors and enjoyed hiking and kayaking and was a member of Women’s Wilderness. She also enjoyed line dancing, listening to music and trying new things.
She is the wife of John L. Strope; loving mother of Destiny N. Moshier-Murphy of Cropseyville and Hevean L. Strope of Watervliet; adored grandmother of Noah A. Moshier, Dylan M. Murphy, Jameson N. Murphy, Paisley G. Murphy, Kyla Johnson and Kelsey Johnson; stepmother of Laura, June and John Strope of Cohoes and April Strope of Auburn, NY; sister of Andrew L. Moshier, Jr. of Clifton Park, Shaun J. Moshier of Waterford and Tina M. Moshier-Garner of Troy. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends may call at the Parker Bros. Memorial, 2013 Broadway, Watervliet on Monday from 4-6 pm with the funeral service at 5:30 pm with Deacon Charles Wojton officiating.
