Obituary for Jeanne E. Parente (Lefebvre)

WATERVLIET – Jeanne E. Lefebvre Parente, 79, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, October 11, 2017. Born in Waterford on July 14, 1938, she was the daughter of the late Arthur and Alma Fortin Lefebvre.
She was a 1956 graduate of Catholic Central High School. Jeanne retired in 2000 from Watervliet High School after 20 years as a librarian assistant. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and sister.
Jeanne enjoyed Friday night family dinners, sewing, gardening, baking, dancing, camping, traveling and bocci. She was a communicant of the former Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church in Watervliet.
She is survived by her devoted husband of 59 years, Armando Parente; her sons, Michael (Donna) Parente of Cohoes, Thomas (Linda) Parente of Uniontown, OH, Steven (Victor) Parente of Puerto Vallarata, Mexico; her daughter, Anne Marie (Brian) Nolan of Colonie; her brother, Gerald (Karen) Lefebvre of Loudonville; 10 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren and one great grandson on the way.
The funeral will be Monday at 9:45 am from the Parker Bros. Memorial, 2013 Broadway, Watervliet and at 10:30 am at St. Anthony of Padua Shrine Church in Troy. Interment St. Joseph’s Cemetery, Waterford. Relatives and friends may call at the funeral home on Sunday from 3-6 pm.
