Obituary for William O. "Bill" Crandall

William O. "Bill" Crandall
BERLIN – William O. Crandall, 66, died Wednesday, November 15, 2017 at his home in Berlin. Born in Saratoga Springs on July 9, 1951, he was the son of the late Arthur and Grace Harrington Crandall.
Bill was raised and educated in Berlin and was a resident for most of his life. He traveled across the USA earlier in his life. He was employed by the Town of Petersburgh at the town dump, Taconic Plastics in Petersburgh and last by Vermont Composite in Bennington, VT as a group leader in manufacturing for 15 years.
Bill loved to ride his Harley motorcycle, enjoyed hunting and fishing with his children and grandchildren and going to flea markets and tag sales. He was a good man that would help anyone in need.
He is the beloved husband of Holly E. Crandall and the late Judy Stevens and former husband of Lauri Hoyle of Hoosick Falls; devoted father of Jason (Chris) Crandall of Petersburgh, James McKenzie of Ohio, Sharon (Donald) Maynard, Melanie Davis, Cheryl Bamrick and Krista (Josh) Galipeau all of Bennington, VT, Chelsea McKenzie of Texas, Tonya VanBuren, Rebekah VanBuren and Erin Liimatainen all of Bennington, VT; brother of Jackie, Wayne, Pearl, Charlotte, Marilyn and the late Linda, Arthur and Barbara. Bill is also survived by several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, cousins, nieces and nephews. He was so proud of his disabled American veteran grandson, Zachary Kinney formerly of the US Army.
Relatives and friends may call at the Thomas M. Barber Funeral Home, 66 Armsby Road, Petersburgh on Saturday, December 2 from 1-2 pm followed by a service at 2 pm.
