Obituary for Robert F. "Bob" LaCross Jr.

WATERVLIET – Robert F. LaCross, Jr., 63, died Sunday, January 7, 2018 at the Community Hospice Inn at St. Peter’s Hospital with his loving family at his side.
Born in Troy on November 12, 1954, he is the beloved son of Janet M. Himes LaCross of Watervliet and the late Robert F. LaCross, Sr. Bobby was a lifelong resident of Watervliet and was a 1973 graduate of Watervliet High School.
He was employed by Albany International in Menands for over 30 years as a maintenance worker before retiring.
Bob loved to cook and enjoyed sending food over to family and friends. He loved fishing and boating on Saratoga Lake and in his younger years enjoyed horseback riding.
In addition to his mother Janet, he is the father of Robert F. (Anna) LaCross, III of Waterford, Desiree’ LaCross of Virginia Beach, VA and Marissa Michalski (William) Rider of Earlton, NY; loving brother of Susan (George) Sisco) of Saratoga Springs, Stacey (Brian Fruscio) LaCross of Watervliet and the late Sandy (Leo) Pontari and Kevin (Elizabeth) LaCross. He is also survived by 5 grandchildren, several nieces and nephews and his beloved dog and best friend, “Bud”.
The family would like to thank Bob’s friends, Jim and Sue Weitzel and Chip and Sharon Felock for visiting and comforting Bob in his final days.
At Bob’s request, services will be private at the convenience of the family.
