Obituary for Robert W. McClay

TROY – Robert W. McClay, 76, of Lansingburgh, died Saturday, February 10, 2018 at Albany Medical Center. Born in Troy on October 19, 1941, he was the son of the late Robert and Viola Wilson McClay.
Bob was a resident of Troy all of his life. He was a lifelong painter and was employed by the Troy Housing Authority for over 30 years since 1975 as a painter before retiring several years ago.
Bob loved to travel and enjoyed trips to Las Vegas, Atlantic City, the Bahamas and Jamaica. He enjoyed going to downtown Troy and had many favorite spots that he enjoyed visiting and greeting friends.
He was the dear brother of the late Viola “Tootie” (late Thomas “Wink”) Evers and the late Shirley McClay (Romeo) Naples of Brunswick; loving uncle of Patricia A. Evers (late William) Miller of Troy, Linda Evers (John) Sartoris of Clifton Park, Shirley Naples (Michael) Manning of Clifton Park, Steven J. Naples of Rensselaer and the late Thomas (Emily Sue) Evers of Grafton, WI. He is also survived by several grandnieces and grandnephews.
Relatives and friends may call at the Doran Funeral Home, 9 South Lake Avenue, Troy on TUESDAY (today) from 3-5 pm followed by the funeral service at 5 pm (please note day & time change).
