Obituary for Linda G. Fredericks

Linda G.  Fredericks
Newtonville - Linda G. Fredericks, 66, passed away on February 28, 2018 after a short illness.

Linda was born on April 14, 1951 in Troy, New York and raised in Berlin, New York. She attended Berlin schools and graduated from Shaker High School in Latham, New York. Linda earned a bachelor’s degree from the University of Colorado, Boulder, CO. She was the Operations Manager for Roxy Dry Cleaners, owned and operated Sta-Brite Dry Cleaners in Clifton Park, New York, and for the last ten years has been the Financial Manager for BathFitter franchises in Albany, New York; Fort Myers and Orlando, Florida; and Austin, Texas.

Linda was an accomplished musician on the flute and piano. She loved lighthouses and visited over 100 of them across the United States. Linda enjoyed traveling to Maine with her mom and later with her children and wife. She became a world traveler, venturing to Alaska, Eqypt, Lebanon, Mexico, Canada, France, Germany, and numerous Caribbean Islands. For forty years, Linda lived in Newtonville where she raised her three children. Several years ago, Linda became a snowbird and enjoyed spending time with friends and family at her winter home in Punta Gorda, Florida.

She was pre-deceased by her father, William D. Gutermuth; mother, Lady R. Rucinski; step-father, Ronald R. Rucinski; and two sisters, Karen and Sally Ann Gutermuth.

Linda is survived by her wife, Rosemary Patnode; siblings: William Gutermuth, Jr., Dan (Julie) Gutermuth, Lauren R. (Tom) Carrigan, Lady A. Rucinski, Stephen (Mary) Rucinski and Tracy (Charles Magnell) Gutermuth; children: Sean (Jennifer) Fredericks, R. Ricker (Brianne) Fredericks, Sarah (Bryan) Keefer; grandchildren: Russell Fredericks, Ricker Fredericks, Damon Henry Keefer, Kayleigh Austin, Rowan Fredericks, Elisa Austin, Alexander Keefer, Delaney Sarah Fredericks, Karyn Rose Keefer, and her dear friend, Kathy Smith.

A memorial service will be held at 7 PM on Friday, April 20, 2018 at Parker Bros. Memorial Funeral Home, 2013 Broadway, Watervliet. Calling hours will be held before the service, from 4 until 7 PM. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to cdifffoundation.org.
