Obituary for Frederick E. Nichols Jr.

Frederick E.  Nichols Jr.
MAPLEWOOD – Frederick E. Nichols, Jr., 51, passed unexpectedly on May 17, 2018 at home.

Born in Troy he was son of Frederick Nichols, Sr. of Troy and the late Velma “Jackie” (Marcus) Nichols who died on September 1, 2012.

He was pre-deceased by his brother, David Nichols, Sr. of Troy and is survived by his siblings, Michael Nichols of Clifton Park, Katherine Duffy Darmetko (Edward) of Troy, Joseph Nichols, Sr. (Kristin) of Pittstown, Andrew Nichols (Shona) of Clifton Park, Daniel Nichols of Troy, Robert Nichols (Kindra) of Maplewood; his best friend William Voss of Maplewood. Also survived by several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.

Pre-deceased by his longtime pet companions Foofer and Turkey; survived by his other pet companions Penny and Cecil.

Funeral service on Tuesday at 11 am at Parker Bros. Memorial, 2013 Broadway, Watervliet where Reverend Nicholas TeBordo will officiate. Interment will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Troy. Friends are invited and may visit with Fred’s family prior to the service beginning at 9am.

Donations may be made to the Mohawk and Hudson Humane Society in Freddie’s name.
