Obituary for Karon M. Vink

Watervliet – I, Karon M. Vink, 69, of Watervliet, died on May 23, 2018 from Lung Cancer. I chose to allow mother nature to run its course, without any treatments at all.
I am survived by my wife and partner of 22 years, Kathleen Burger, my brother, Dave (Colleen) Vink, my twin sister, Sharon Vojnar, my son, Michael, my niece, Lisa Vojnar, and by many nieces, nephews, and in-laws. I was predeceased by my mother, Mary Wagner, my sister, Linda McClintock, and my father, Henry Vink.
I served in the US Army/NYARNG for 23 years. I was a social member of VFW Post 729, Elks 1500, and the Watervliet AOH. I enjoyed my trips to Turning Stone with my family, my Rip Offs, and the New York Giants. I will miss my friends at Whip-O-Will. I will also never forget my family and friends; Michele D, Shelly L, Wayno, and Wendy. I would also like to extend a thank-you to hospice for the care they provided.
A visitation will be held Saturday, June 2, 2018, from 1 to 3 PM at Parker Bros. Memorial Funeral Home, 2013 Broadway, Watervliet. In lieu of flowers and to remember me in a special way, consider a donation to the Overseas Association NYINC c/o Lynda Howard, 783 Broadway, Watervliet, NY 12189. Ma and Linda look for me.
