Melrose – Francis J. Adams, Jr., 42, of Melrose, died unexpectedly at home on September 14, 2017. Born in Troy, Frank was son of Donna Marie LeCuyer Adams and the late Francis J. Adams, Sr. He grew up in Johnsonville and attended Hoosick Valley High School. Over the years he was employed by several area companies including his family’s business, Adams Trucking Company, and most recently worked as a self employed contractor and carpenter.

Frank was an avid fan of the Dallas Cowboys and enjoyed snowmobiling, riding quads and ATV’s and attending his kids sporting events.

He will be remembered for his pranks and practical jokes and for how much joy he received from his grandchildren.

He was pre-deceased by his father, Francis J. Adams, Sr. and his brother, Stephen Adams. He is survived by his mother, Donna M. (LeCuyer) Adams (Jerry Reub); his significant other and the mother of his children, Kristina Hunt; his children, Lindsey Marie Adams (Matthew), Francis J. (Moose) Adams, III (Alyssa), Joshua E. Adams, Christopher M. Adams, Matthew T. (Chewy) Adams and Scotty Pierce; his grandchildren, proud poppy of Addalyn and Karter; his sisters and brothers, Rhonda Pierrre (Doug), Carrie O’Connell (Kevin), Jennifer Adams, Donni Adams (Joanne), Nicholas Adams (Stephanie) and Jessie Adams. He is also survived by several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.

A service will be held on Wednesday at 11am in the Parker Bros. Memorial, 2013 Broadway, Watervliet, the Reverend David Hall will officiate. Interment will follow in Millertown Cemetery in Johnsonville, NY. Friends are invited and may also visit with Frank’s family on Tuesday from 5 until 7 PM at the funeral home.
