Obituary for Carol Ann "Dings" Lazorischak

WATERVLIET – Carol Ann Dings Lazorischak, 75, died Sunday, February 4, 2018 at Samaritan Hospital in Troy with her family at her side. Born in Albany on November 16, 1942, she was the daughter of the late Lester and Anna Schewe Dings.
Carol was raised in Averill Park and was a graduate of Averill Park High School. As a young girl, she was employed by JC Penney in Albany before her marriage. Later, she was a homemaker raising her children for many years. She returned to work as a medical secretary for Dr. Austin Corbett in Troy for 10 years before moving to Michigan where she lived from 1985-1990. After her husband Pat retired from Ford Motor Co., the family moved back to Watervliet.
She enjoyed ceramics, gardening and trips to the Saratoga Racino.
She is the beloved wife of Patrick A. Lazorischak; devoted and loving mother of Diane M. (Jamie) Mizener of Bethlehem, David A. (Diane) Lazorischak of Colonie and Andrew T. Lazorischak of Watervliet; adored grandmother of Kaila and Aaron Mizener, Jenna and Blake Lazorischak; dear sister of Beverly (Henry “Bud) Palmer of Colonie, Paula (Bill) Mazzarello of Wynantskill, Edward (Nancy) Dings of North Greenbush and the late Raymond Dings. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends may call at the Parker Bros. Memorial, 2013 Broadway, Watervliet on Thursday from 4:00-6:30 pm followed by the funeral service at 6:30 pm with Deacon Al Manzilla officiating.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 1 Penny Lane, Latham, NY 12110.
