Obituary for Margaret Doris Collins

WATERVLIET – Margaret Doris Collins, 86, died peacefully Wednesday, February 7, 2018 at Albany Memorial Hospital.
Born in Troy on July 20, 1931, she was the daughter of the late Timothy L. and Emma Loretta (Ryan) Collins. She was raised and educated in Troy and was a graduate of Catholic Central High School. She was a former communicant of Sacred Heart Church in Troy.
Doris was employed by the New York State Department of Agriculture & Markets in Albany for many years before retiring.
She is the beloved sister of T. Leo (Jane) Collins, Ann T. Collins and Catherine Ruth Manny all of Watervliet. She was predeceased by a sister, Mary Larkin, a sister in law, Patricia Collins and a brother in law, Harry Manny. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews.
Funeral services will be private at the convenience of the family with the interment in St. Joseph’s Cemetery in South Troy.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the charity of one’s choice.
