Obituary for Pasquale A. "Pat" Crispo

POESTENKILL – Pasquale “Pat” A. Crispo, 84, died peacefully Wednesday, May 16, 2018 at Albany Medical Center with his family at his side. Born in Troy on April 3, 1934, he was the son of the late Giuseppe and Elizabeth Daniele Crispo.
Pat was a 1952 graduate of Catholic Central High School in Troy. He was a US Army veteran of the Korean War. He was employed by the New York State Dept. of Transportation and later by the Office of Mental Health in the Medical Records Dept. for over 30 years before retiring. He later worked security at Hedley Park Place for another 10 years.
Pat was a past president of the Emerald Athletic Club, a member of the Troy Lodge of Elks and the Poestenkill American Legion Post.
Pat raised pigeons and rabbits, enjoyed gardening, fishing, bowling and coached his son in CYO Baseball and at Armory Little League where he was a past president, CYO basketball and football. He coached and played fast pitch softball for the Emerald AC and Ida Hill softball teams. He was an avid NY Yankees and NY Giants fan.
He was the beloved husband of the late Arlene M. Russo Crispo who died in 2011; devoted father of Rhonda M. Crispo of Watervliet, Joseph A. (LeeAnn) Crispo of East Greenbush and the late Lisa M. Crispo; proud grandfather of Patrick “P.J.” (Stephanie) Crispo of Poestenkill; dear brother of Isabella (late Joseph) Rodino of Brunswick; brother in law of Michael A. Russo, Robert H. (late Mary Joyce) Day, III and the late James (late Patricia) Russo. He is also survived by several cousins, nieces, nephews and his little dog Cindy and his son’s dog Tessie.
A special thankyou to Pat’s grandson P.J. and Stephanie for the wonderful care they gave to our dad for the past 6 years; and also the staff at Albany Medical Center especially Mitzi and Eugene and Chris at Landmark Nursing Service.
The funeral will be Monday at 9:15 am from the Parker Bros. Memorial, 2013 Broadway, Watervliet and at 10:00 am at St. Anthony of Padua Shrine Church in Troy where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Rev. Richard Donovan, OFM, Pastor. Interment St. Mary’s Cemetery, Troy. Relatives and friends are invited and may call at the funeral home on Sunday from 4-7 pm.
