Obituary for Evan David Brunelle-Bushey

COHOES - Evan David Brunelle-Bushey, age 27, passed away peacefully on Tuesday August 21 2018 surrounded by family and friends.

Evan was born in Troy, NY on Friday, February 8th 1991 to loving parents Laurie Brunelle and the late Charles Bushey, II.

Evan is survived by his brothers, Jacob Stork (Andrea Stork), Jonathon Erickson, Charles Bushey III, and Tanner Bushey. He is also survived by his girlfriend, Morgan Villegas as well as additional family and friends.

Evan was given the life that people dream about. He had it all; appearance, personality, work ethic, intelligence, and kindness.

Evan attended Heatly High School in Green Island where he quickly gained popularity and made many lifelong friends. Legend has it that he not only escorted the most beautiful girl in Heatly High School to the prom that year, but that he actually escorted the two most beautiful girls, one on each arm!

Following high school he joined the Carpenters Union and proudly graduated from the four year apprenticeship program.

He spent most of his working career building scaffolding and was amazed at the places his work took him. One day he would be working at a school in Saratoga, the next day he would be at the tallest building in Albany. He even carved his name into the fresh mortar of a castle. He took pride in his work and loved the thrill of having such a dangerous and exciting job.

Evan enjoyed life and had a love for music, art, and people. He would often dabble in writing lyrics, playing an instrument and creating small art pieces including drawing caricatures. More than anything, he loved to spend time with his friends and family. He was not one to sit idle, he would always try to catch up with a friend or help someone with some chores around the house.

Evan was an amazing person and he will be greatly missed by many. He will be remembered, not for his faults but, for all the good that shined through. Evan will live on in our memories and through his gift of life to others via organ donation.

Friends are invited to visit with Evan’s family on Sunday from 2 until 5 pm at the Parker Bros. Memorial, 2013 Broadway, Watervliet. His interment will be held privately.
