Obituary for Elizabeth A. Bingham (Maskill)

BRAINARD , NY – Elizabeth “Betty” A. Bingham, 72, died Wednesday, December 5, 2018 at Albany Medical Center. Born in Springfield, MA on November 23, 1946, she was the daughter of the late Albert and Elizabeth Ringie Maskill.
Betty was raised in Lebanon Springs and was a graduate of New Lebanon Central High School. She was employed by the New Lebanon Supermarket, Speedway Diner as a waitress and caterer, Berkshire Life Insurance in Pittsfield as a plan coordinator and most recently was a baby sitter at her home for kids in Brainard. She organized parties at the New Lebanon American Legion and was a huge Elvis Presley fan.
She was the wife of the late Ronald “Porky” Bingham; beloved mother of Gina (Dave) Goodermote of Stephentown; grandmother of Meaghan Ann; great grandmother of “the love of her life” Jason Byron and Olivia Emerald and Aedan Patrick; sister of Ellen (Steve) Lathers of East Nassau; aunt of Nathan Lathers, Tammy (Bill) Sears and their son Michael, Stacey (Mark) Mazzeo and their kids, Gabby and Taylor; sister in law of Dale (Harry “Skip) Grant and their daughter, Keri (Donnie) Fiske, Mary (Timothy) Mooney and the late Terry Bingham (wife Judy survives).
The funeral will be Monday at 1 pm at the Hall & Higgins Funeral Home, 457 NY 43, Stephentown with Rev. Marie Schilling officiating. Relatives and friends are invited and may call prior to the service at the funeral home on Monday from 11:00 am-1:00 pm. Cremation will follow in Gardner Earl Crematory, Troy.
