Obituary for Frederick J. Winnie Jr.
ALBANY – Frederick J. Winnie, Jr., 56, died peacefully Sunday, May 12, 2019 at the Community Hospice Inn at St. Peter’s Hospital in Albany surrounded by his loving family.
Born and raised in Albany, he was the son of the late Frederick J. Winnie, Sr. and Rosemary Self Fleming and is the step-son of Sharon Winnie Bunting of Albany.
Fred was employed by the Pie in the Sky Bakery in Albany for over 5 years and by Price Chopper in Albany. He participated in the Drop in Center and the CIC Club both in Albany.
Fred loved music, playing video games especially on his Play Station 3, had a large CD music collection and was proud of his 42 ½ inch television.
He was the father of the late Frederick J. Winnie, III; fiancé of Chrissy Whitman of Albany; brother of Sharon (Dave) Smith of Watervliet, Joseph Winnie and Robert (late Tammi) Winnie both of Mechanicville, Stephanie (Chris) Fleming of East Nassau, Wanda (Ron) Evans of Watervliet, Michael (Christi) Winnie of Albany and Jamie Winnie of Watervliet. He is also survived by several aunts, uncles, cousins and nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited and may call at the Parker Bros. Memorial, 2013 Broadway, Watervliet on Thursday from 4:00-5:30 pm followed by the funeral service at 5:30 pm.
