Obituary for Florence B. Sciacco
WATERVLIET – Florence B. Sciacco, 83, died peacefully Tuesday, March 24, 2020 at Albany Medical Center with her family at her side.
She was born in Troy on June 8, 1936, the daughter of the late Orazio and Josephine Ginnino Sciacco. She was raised in Troy and attended St. Francis deSales School in Troy. She resided in Glens Falls and has been a resident of Watervliet for many years.
She was employed as a waitress at the former Circle Inn in Latham, was a claims supervisor for Continental Insurance in Glens Falls and also worked for Lockeed Martin in Albany.
Florence loved her dog Sadie, spending time with her family and enjoyed shopping.
She is the beloved sister of James (Maryann) Sciacco of Ocala, FL and Marygrace (Donald) Delamater of Watervliet. She was predeceased by her late siblings, Joseph (late Betty) Sciacco, Louise Davenport, Grace (late William) Proctor and Rosemary Sciacco.
She is also survived by several nieces, nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews and one great grandniece.
Funeral services will be held privately Friday for the immediate family followed by burial in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Troy.
Arrangements are by the Parker Bros. Memorial, 2013 Broadway, Watervliet.
