Obituary for Florence A. "Phil" Tambolleo (Clemente)

WATERVLIET – With sad and heavy hearts we are announcing the passing of Florence A. “Phil” (Clemente) Tambolleo, age 93, wife of the late Nicholas Tambolleo on Friday, April 10, 2020.

She was born in Troy on December 7, 1926, the daughter of the late Michael and Jennie (Zirpalo) Celemente. She was raised in Troy and lived there for many years before moving to Watervliet. She had numerous jobs before she settled on the most rewarding one. She married Nicholas Tambolleo on August 17, 1947. Then they started a family. She was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, aunt and friend.

She is survived by her children, Geraldine “Geri” Tambolleo-Craver (Matthew), Ann Marie Long (Ronald) and Nicholas Tambolleo, II (Diane) and many grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She also leaves behind two brothers, John (late Carol) Clementi, Anthony (Roseanne) Clemente as well as a sister in law, Grace Clemente. Two children pre-deceased her, Phyllis Ann (at birth) and Mary Ann as well as three grandchildren, several brothers and two sisters.

The wake and funeral are private due to the Corona-19 virus. She will be buried with her husband Nick at the Gerald BH Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery. Memorial services will be held at a later time.

Arrangements are by the Parker Bros. Memorial in Watervliet.
