Obituary for Karen Marie Leffler
West Sand Lake – Karen M. Leffler, 79, passed away peacefully at her residence on Thursday February 18, 2021 with her loving family by her side. Born in Syracuse, she is the daughter of the late Henry and Marie Gildersleeve.
Karen will be remembered by her children as a woman of grace who was wise beyond her years. She was a nature lover and an extremely talented artist that could paint, draw, or carve anything. Karen also enjoyed quilting and tending to her garden.
Karen is survived by her children, Dan (Cindy) Leffler, Kathleen (Shawn) Derby, Patrick Leffler, Jim (Ravani) Leffler and Erin Kormos; and her sister, Sue (Howie) Gelston. She is also survived by many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and dear friends. Karen was predeceased by her husband, Robert B. Leffler in 2014 and her son, Kevin Leffler.

Funeral services for Karen are being planned for the summer and will be announced at a later date.
