Obituary for Patricia B. Connors (Biehl)

WATERVLIET – Patricia Biehl Connors, 89, died peacefully Wednesday, February 24, 2021 at her home with her family at her side.

She was born in Troy on April 24, 1931, the loving daughter of Joseph L. and Marion Berry Biehl. She was a graduate of School 9 in Watervliet and Catholic Central High School in Troy.

Pat was employed by the New York Telephone Company prior to raising her children. Throughout her life, she was the center of her family and enjoyed frequent gatherings of many friends. She especially enjoyed hosting Fourth of July barbeques, cooking Thanksgiving dinner for a crowd, and toasting friends on New Year’s Eve.

She was an active communicant of St. Patrick’s Church and Immaculate Heart of Mary Church both in Watervliet. She was a member of the Watervliet Columbiettes for over 50 years and was a 75 year board member for the Watervliet Civic Center.

She was the beloved wife of 66 years of James J. Connors whom she married on October 16, 1954 in St. Patrick’s Church; loving and devoted mother of Marypat (Jim) Murtagh of Cohoes and James B. (CareyAnn) Connors of Watervliet; adored grandmother of Anna Kate (Jeffrey) Connolly, Patrick (Nicole) Murtagh, Joseph (Katelyn) Murtagh, Hope Connors, Jennie Ann Connors and Callie Ann Connors; great grandmother of Lucas and Julia Connolly and Camryn and Addison Murtagh. She is also survived by several cousins, nieces and nephews.

The family thanks Community Hospice for their care and support during Pat’s brief illness.

The funeral will be Tuesday at 9:15 am from the Parker Bros. Memorial, 2013 Broadway, Watervliet and at 10:00 am at the Immaculate Heart of Mary Church, Watervliet where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Rev. Donald L. Rutherford, Pastor. Interment will follow in St. Patrick’s Cemetery, Watervliet. Relatives and friends are invited and may call at the funeral home on Monday from 4-7 pm.
