Obituary for Diana Gates (Jones)
BERLIN - Diana (Jones) Gates, 75, passed away on Friday January 28, 2022 surrounded by her family at Samaritan Hospital in Troy.
Born in Petersburgh on May 31, 1946, she was the daughter of the late Robert “Skeet” Lansing Jones. She was raised in Hoosick Falls and lived there until she moved to Berlin in the early 70’s with her husband Chris where they made their home for the next 56 years.
Diana is survived by her husband, Christopher Gates of Berlin and her 5 sons, Wayne Valentine of Berlin, Alfred Gates of Berlin, Christopher Gates of Berlin, Richard Gates of Berlin and Wilson Gates of Greenfield, MA as well as 9 grandchildren, Rachel, Alyssa, Shontia, Jasmine, Richard Jr., Jeremiah, Aiden, Olivia, and Ryan, as well as her best friend, her dog King.
A private service will be held in the spring at the family's discretion.
Arrangements are by the Thomas M. Barber Funeral Home in Petersburgh.
