Obituary for Lorraine Ann Toomey (Seney)
Saratoga Springs, NY – Lorraine Ann (Seney) Toomey passed into eternal life on August 8, 2022 at the age of 94.
Born in Colchester, Vermont on August 18, 1927, Lorraine was the daughter of the late Paul and Margaret (Bouchard) Seney. She was raised and educated in Watervliet and was a 1945 graduate of Watervliet High School. Lorraine furthered her education at the Mildred Elley Business School following which she took employment with Stellone’s Electrical Company, Inc. in Watervliet and later Simmons Fastener in Menands from where she retired after 20 years of service.
She was a communicant of the former Sacred Heart of Mary Church in Watervliet and enjoyed sewing, baking and reading. Lorraine loved to spend her summer months at Cossayuna Lake where, ultimately, she resided permanently from 1987 until 2004. Her greatest enjoyment was derived from the times she spent with her grandchildren.

Lorraine was wife of the late John P. Toomey; mother of Paul (Bonnie) Toomey of Clifton Park, Shaune M. Toomey of Saratoga Springs and John (Kathleen) Toomey of Tryon, NC; grandmother of Andrea (Pete) Morgan, Jason Toomey, Jaime (Jamison) Davis and Erin Blondin; great-grandmother of Corinne, Lily and Tori.
A funeral Mass for Lorraine will be celebrated on Thursday at 10 am in the Immaculate Heart of Mary Church, 25th Street at 7th Avenue, Watervliet. The Rite of Committal and interment will follow in St. Agnes Cemetery, Menands. Friends are invited to attend and may also visit with the Toomey family on Wednesday from 4 until 7 pm at the Parker Bros. Memorial, Watervliet.
