Obituary for Michael S. Spinato

MENANDS, NY - Michael Spinato, of Menands and formerly of Gardiner NY, left this life to go home to be with his Lord and Savior on October 1st, 2013, while at home. He was the son of the late Salvatore and Lois Spinato, born in December of 1942 in NYC, and predeceased by his brother John and granddaughter Willow Harris. He is father to three and husband to one, he is survived by his wife Rita, son John Spinato and wife Susan of Pine Bush NY; son Paul Spinato and wife Lori of Moyock NC and daughter Christine Harris and husband Fred of Lake Katrine NY. Ten grand children Ashley, Courtney, Ella, Cole, Tristan, Joseph, Phillip, Frederick, Luke and Cheyenne. He was also survived by his siblings Charles, Donna, Michele and David and their respected families, along with Aunts, Uncles, Nieces, Nephews and Cousins.
Michael had a combined time of service of 32 years with the United States Military to include the US Air Force, US Navy Reserves, NY Army National Guard, and NY Air National Guard; all due to a desire for adventure. Michael had a compassionate smile that would put anyone at ease. He had an incredibly contagious laugh that warmed many of hearts. His dedication to both family and Country were unsurpassed and commended by many through his classic and devout characteristics. He had an enduring faith in the Lord and an allegiance to that faith that was transcended by all other characteristics he possessed. Michael will always live on in his family because we are a part of him and he will be missed very much. Private viewing was held for the family and the military funeral commenced at Saratoga National Cemetery NY.
